Applied Human Factors will demonstrate some of its innovative new assistive technology products including 1) programs that have been shown to significantly increase typing speed - especially for people using switch scanning; 2) a program that offers a new alternative input strategy for people who now are either scanning or using a standard pointer, but not very effectively; 3) programs that have been shown to improve spelling accuracy by 100%+ in children and adults with learning
disabilities; and 4) a new augmentative communication and writing program that lets you "type" by selecting words instead of letters and reduces the number of required clicks in a sentence to 2-3 per word.

This event brings hundreds of people with disabilities, our allies and family members to the state capitol to raise awareness about the disability rights movement and policy issues impacting our community. We expect over 2,000 guests and over 50 volunteers. Guests will hear from disability activists, community leaders, legislators and performers with disabilities.
